Letter to Adam

At approx 10 pm on Friday night, August 28th 2009, I arrived to work and had just received a text from my girl saying " babe DJ AM died". I don't think it registered. As soon as I walk into Anchor, Jason said, "so you going to do a DJ AM tribute?" I chuckled and walked back to the DJ booth. In utter shock and disbelief, I stood in a DJ booth I stand in every single Friday. A DJ booth that you've stood in yourself. I've been a fan since day one. Every DJ has a DJ or DJ's that they look up to. And you were without a doubt that for me. Your love for music, knowledge of music and undeniable skills on the the turntables set a bar that every DJ whether they own up to it or not reaches for. I can safely say, we may never see a DJ of your calibur again, you changed the club experience. I honestly dont care what anyone has to say, but as a whole you are hands down the best DJ of our time.  I would like to thank you for the inspiration and motivation that you have given me to make me want to be a better DJ. Every time I practice, every day I dj, I dont strive to be you but I strive be a better Sofie Fatale. I will never have the pleasure of meeting you, at least not in this lifetime but Thank you Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) for sharing your talent with us. You will be missed. RIP. AAHHHH YEEEAAAAHHHH
